Description
Authoritize is a secure, reliable log in solution that offers strong, two-factor authentication and convenient login to your Mac OS X 10.5 computer.
Security is always a trade off between convenience and complexity and whilst a single password is convenient it is not the most secure. By using a Yubico Yubikey USB security token you provide another layer of security which means you don't have to remember long complex passwords.

Beta 1 now available
Click the button to download the first public beta release of Authoritize. You will need to be running OS X 10.5 or later and have a Yubikey with a known private AES.
Plug the Yubikey into a spare USB port and it looks to your Mac just like a keyboard. Only it doesn't have any keys. What it does have is a single, glowing touch sensitive button. Gently touch the button and the Yubikey generates a unique and random string of characters.
When you login, Authoritize decrypts this password using a very secure 128 bit AES secret key. If this is successful then we know this is the key associated with this login account.
There is no longer a need to use long, complex passwords that need to be written down. Choose a simple easy to remember password.
